DISTRICT TWO PREAMBLE

RECOVERY, UNITY AND SERVICE

These are the Three Legacies off our AA experience. Our leaders are but trusted servants, they

do not govern. God, as He may speak in our group conscience, is our sole authority. World

Service is the heart of our Third Legacy. Our meetings are informative and educational. They are

held so that the Committee Members, GSR’s and all interested members may be better

equipped to carry the message of World Service back to their home groups and individual

members, thus giving a better understanding to our purpose, our hopes and our work.

DISTRICT TWO AREA 14 NORTH FLORIDA STRUCTURES AND GUIDELINES

PREFACE

These by-laws are not intended to replace the current A.A. Manual. Most of these by-laws

come directly from the A.A. Service Manual. Each General Service District is autonomous and

these by-laws are used to assist in clarifying matters which pertain specifically to District Two

and our relationship with the North Florida Area Conference.

DEFINITION

District Two is an On-Line General Service District that has no geographic boundaries. District

Two A.A. Groups are also registered with the General Service Office as well as the North Florida

Area Conference. The District elects every two years a slate of Officers and the term they serve

is concurrent with the General Service Conference and North Florida Area Conference panels.

The District Two Slate of Officers are:

1) District Committee Member (Who also serves as Chairperson)

2) Alternate District Committee Member

3) Secretary

4) Treasurer

District Two holds monthly meetings which are Chaired by the District Committee Member. In

the event the District Committee Member is absent the meeting is then chaired by the

Alternate District Committee Member.

All references to the A.A. Service Manual in these by-laws as well as sharing at district meetings

will be to the most current revision.

Elections that are held are either by written ballot or show of hands, with a majority needed to

elect. The district may also choose to follow Third legacy Procedure which requires a two-thirds

majority. The members who can vote in District Two are:

1) All District Two Slate of Officers

2) All General Service Representatives or their Alternates (Only One Group-One Vote)

3) All Service Committee Coordinators

AGENDA FORMAT

All meetings open with the Serenity Prayer.

Roll call is taken to establish quorum for voting. The quorum percentage will be 15% for all

members eligible to vote.

Scott G., our District Corrections Chair, opened the meeting with the Serenity Prayer.

Scott thanked all who attended meeting and thanked Danny for his assistance.

MONTHLY TRADITION

Scott gave a report on Tradition III. Danny asked for a volunteer on Tradition IV and Tricia volunteered.

DISTRICT SECRETARY REPORT

The minutes from February 15,2025 was passed with one correction.

DISTRICT TREASURER REPORT

Sarah gave the Treasurer Report and it was passed with no corrections.

DISTRICT COMMITTEE REPORT

Scott displayed Kris’s DCM report on screen and reported on two items on the Report. Scott mentioned that if any GSR might have any questions regarding an upcoming motion. The motion is regarding a change to the NFAC Structures and Guidelines. Scott said that the GSR should contact Kris if they have any questions. The other item Scott mentioned was an upcoming Virtual Pre- Conference Workshop chaired by Lori P., our Panel 75 Delegate. The takes place on March 26, 2025 at 6:00 PM EST (See Flier)

DISTRICT SERVICE COMMITTEE REPORTS

Corrections-Scott displayed the Agenda Items for the Corrections Committee at the 75th General Service Conference. Scott also mentioned the CCS (Pen Pal) program at GSO.

GENERAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE COMMITTEE REPORTS

Grape Nuts Group- Shirley reported that their Home Group has had an influx of Newcomers visiting their meetings. She also acquired a Sponsee as a result of the new members attending.

Rule 62 Group- Vickie reported that their Group just celebrated 25 years. Attendance remains about the same.

Survivors Group- Tricia reported that their Home Group recently elected an Alternate GSR. Vivian F.is the new Alternate General Service Representative for the Survivors Group. Tricia also reported that an Ad Hoc Committee was formed recently to address Security issues. The Group is looking into developing a Newcomer Packet for New A.A. members.
